The advanced mobile phone technology has transformed the lives of people. In the year 1999, the first media phone for the Internet access was introduced by Nokia. Soon after that, the demand of customers shifted from listening to viewing. As a result, the demand for services a part from voice started to increase. During the last few years, mobile phone technology has become very sophisticated. The period of last few years has been characterized with immense and rapid changes in mobile phones. The modern smart phones are equipped with a number of advanced applications. They are also equipped with an internet access. The experience of a fast internet access along with a flexible user interface has become more than a reality. The Nokia N95 has set new grounds in smart phone technology. In order to reach tech-savvy consumers and deliver them the best products, Nokia has entered into a partnership with Microsoft. There is no denying the fact that Apple is the leader in smart phone market because of I Phone. However, other mobile phone giants have also entered into this fierce competition. The other players in this market include HTC, Google, and others.

In the current environment of mobile phones, smart phone have captured a large market share. There are diverse companies that have captured the attention of mobile phone users by introducing sophisticated smart phones. Nokia has also successfully entered into the market of smart phone. However, the company has confronted fierce competition from other players including HTC, BlackBerry, and others. The competition from other market players has resulted in a decline in the market share of Nokia (Norman, 2012, pp. 30).
