Objectives

BusCymru is a transport company whose main objective is to maintain and ensure attractive, safe and reliable fleet of Bus and coach services for schools, companies, sports clubs and community organisations. Its objective is to make sure that the necessary and required numbers of coaches are available for the required time period in order to transport hundreds of people daily. Further objectives include:

Building a transport management system that operates in a sound regulatory and financial network

To maintain and secure long term agreements with the major companies for transport facilities

Building a transport information network

Development of the corporate network

After the introduction and implementation of the proposed system a new clause of objective for the company will be added. BusCymru always strive to be the most reliable and trusted transportation provider in the market, which provides quality service to its customer as well as competitive advantage by using industry leading technology in order to manage their transport efficiently.

Scope

The scope of the company 'BusCymru' is to provide reliable transport service to schools, companies, sports clubs and community organizations. The scope of the company after the implementation of the new software is to provide transport options to the customer on particular time and for a specific date. It facilitates customer to book a coach, change or cancel the bookings using this online software. The main aim of the software is to reduce manual and human errors involved in hand written bookings. It is convenient for the customer to book the order through this online software. The customer can cancel or modify the reservation through this online software.

Produce a requirements specification and an initial system specification to describe the organization's proposed system.

The requirement specification of the proposed system is to provide an integrated software and computer system to the company BusCymru that will abolish, eliminate and remove the need to record orders manually i.e. hand written. The use of software and computer system will enable the company to work more efficiently. Taking orders will become less time consuming. As the procedures will now be automatically handled by the software and computer systems. The company will now be able to manage its time more efficiently.

The computer system will remove the need for things to be written down by hand at any point. It will therefore handle bookings, cancellations, record all of the information coming in from the drivers and keep track of their working hours. It will also keep a record of the distances covered by each coach and of all maintenance carried out upon a coach.
