The energy giant BP Plc has unveiled its plan to build the biggest onshore wind farm in south-central Kansas. The $800 million project includes a 419-megawatt (MW) capacity wind farm, Flat Ridge II, spread across 66,000 acres.
BP had a planned investment of around $8 billion in alternative energy sources by 2015 but it is estimated to have already invested nearly $7 billion by 2011, $4 billion of which is in the U.S.
