Executive Summary

HSBC is an international organisation that has over 1800 branches throughout United Kingdom. HSBC is headquartered in London and HSBC Bank Plc is the only one of Britain's big five banks to hold more deposits than loans. HSBC specialises in the global retail banking, the corporate banking, investment banking and wealth management banking. HSBC offers a large range of products and services to a set of targeted consumers. Thus HSBC has a product for international student. As the student market segment increases each year in September/October as the university term starts, HSBC has an opportunity to increase its customers and make more profit.

In order to create a new student account in the market HSBC conducted a market research to know what really attracted students to the bank and especially HSBC. In this report I have discussed in detail several other scenarios in which implementation of information systems, risk factors for the HSBC and bank industry in UK and financial performance of HSBC are included. The financial values of the HSBC are showing that in spite of various fluctuations the company has very good estimated values for the future and the changes seen in the recent years are almost showing stagnancy. The valuation of the organisation is telling that the company is making good profits and a very good future can be expected for the company in not so many years from now.
