Independent Variables

The independent variable is not dependent on other variables and values are being manipulated in case of independent variables.

Dependent Variables

Dependent Variables are the observed values or result from the independent variables. It is also said that dependent variables may be dependent on Independent variables.

For Example

In calculus there is a function y=f(x), and it shows that y is the dependent variable because it is dependent on the value of x, whatever value changes in x can affect the value of y, whereas, x is the independent variable.

Null Hypothesis

Null hypothesis is also the part of science which gives the test hypothesis in general that has the capabilities to become false. It also describes the general or default position.

For example

Null hypothesis is essential where there is no link between two measured phenomenons. If we consider that a coin has tossed 5 times and, there is always heads then, null hypothesis will be the coin is either biased towards tails or not biased towards head.

Ethnography

Ethnography is the research design which is qualitative. It always aims to evaluate cultural phenomenon and, provides the knowledge of different meanings of a cultural group. It has become a vital part of socio-cultural anthropology and, serving different field of sciences. It helps in finding empirical data from different societies and cultures.

For example

The work of Efondo Kent Erwin in writing, who described people in ethnos.

Meta Analysis

Meta Analysis is the analysis which focuses on the combinations and comparison which are obtained from different studies and conclusions. The Analysis either tells the combination is correct or wrong.

For Example

It is easy to make correct effect size and relationships for the bias which is mainly downward and, which is due to error by measurements or restriction on score ranges.

Operational Definition

It is also a functional definition and gives different definitions of variables, terms and objects. It also helps in determination of quantity and presence.

For Example

Operational definition can help in measuring the weight of any load because it will be appeared in numbers on a weighing scale.

Grounded Theory Method

Grounded Theory is the methodology which is totally systematic and, involves the finding of theory with the help of data. Ground Theory Methods provide methods which operate in the direction which is not linear with the social science researches.

For Example

Grounded theory can be applied in many research works like dying, online learning, a cafe, management studies and other works.

Probability Sampling

It is the method of sampling which uses the random selection of some form. If we have to find random selection method, then we must assign set up any procedure or process which has distinct unit in the population.

For Example

Individuals focus on large values of random selections like they prefer choosing the name of a hat.

Snowball Sampling

Snowball sampling is often used in sociology and statistics and it is also called as chain referral sampling because, it is a non-probability sampling as it gives chances to get the future subjects with respect to the current ...
