Introduction

Feminism is the name of rebellion against society's discrimination and denigration of women - it can be described as the women's movement but the term can also be used to reflect on the works of numerous artists. In the 1970s and 1980s, a strong interest had developed in the relationship policies between feminist movements and video art of the era. These works of art propagated major feminist themes and highlighted major issues that were traditionally faced by women around the world. This paper highlights two song videos produced between the 1970 and 1990, namely Helen Reddy's 'I am Woman' and Madonna's 'Express Yourself'. The videos of both of these songs presented strong feminist themes that highlighted major feminist issues and propagated women empowerment and equal rights.

Feminism is the name of rebellion against society's discrimination and denigration of women. Feminism can be described as the women's movement ideology, but the term can also be used on single authors' works. Just as liberalism and socialism, feminism has an ideas system with many different directions. It is not easy to determine the common content of feminism. Feminism goals are described in such diverse concepts as equality, equity, equality, women's liberation, emancipation, etc. The differences in language cover many different visions but as a common subject of all feminism's desire for women's empowerment and autonomy.

It is simpler to define feminism in terms of what is being fought against.
