Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI is the state agency of the United States dealing with the crimes that go beyond the boundaries of the state. It is also part of the security system of the country. FBI working together with the United States Marshal Services, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearm and Explosive, and other federal agencies generally grouped in four departments of the U.S. Government: Department of Justice, Department of the Treasury, the Department of Defense and the newly appointed under President George W. Bush's Department of Homeland Security.
