Feminity and Female Masculinity in fashion specify it in rocks in during history with the prove of pictures in fashion

Introduction

When a woman declares that she is beautiful, what image does it draw? Is the woman finely toned with a flat stomach or is the woman stunning with some extra curves? What if the woman has the features of Albert Einstein or the jaw line of Tony Blair? The question is will the woman still be called a woman? Womanhood has remained an inextricable subject intertwined with feminity that has made female masculinity to remain outside the box causing discomfort (Nolan, 2004). It is high time that beauty standards and womanhood is redefined according to the liberal laws of the ideology (Christina, 2012). There is a need to lend a comforting hand to that woman who have confronted female masculinity and have paid homage to all those women who have lived their life in such a manner for long (Nolan, 2004). This has now become a norm and has been applied to the fashion industry as well. Female masculinity in the fashion industry has become a common norm where today females would like to wear clothes and accessories like the men do (Nolan, 2004). Even, there are few, who would cut their hair and eyebrows to resemble to a man (Christina, 2012). The trend is growing rapidly in the industry today and there is no harm in it. The history is also evident of a few incidents on the same aspect. It reflects the idea that female masculinity in fashion has acquired a significant position with time (Nolan, 2004). The clothes like men were typically used in the rocks in history where women would wear blazers and hats with tight trousers and take part in rock concerts (Christina, 2012). This then evolved and came into the normal dresses also where today women prefer wearing comfortable clothes that could help them give a feeling of empowerment and masculinity (Nolan, 2004). The following paper discusses the influences of female masculinity in fashion with specific references to rocks in history and evidence provided in the form of pictures, and also states how the fashion industry has evolved with the period of time.

Discussion

Fashion in the 1920s

There were various fashion trends that were visible in the 1920s. This was a time of frivolity and happy-go-lucky attitudes of the people. After the end of the first World War, people have been in dire need to live their life with spirits and fun once again (Shacklock, 2013). This has led to fashion trends becoming less formal and casual. Also, improved production systems and facilities have enabled the manufacturers and the designers to produce clothes with comfort and affordability for the families as the fashion senses have become sophisticated (Shacklock, 2013).

The onset of the Feminine Liberation Movement brought about a revolution in the women fashion industry (Shacklock, ...
