A very famous definition of family, according to anthropologist George Murdock, is a social group that lives together, economic cooperation and reproductive characteristics. This includes adult men and women, at least two people to maintain the relationship between social recognition, and the children of one or more or by adults of their life together.

Many of the sociologist have worked on the structures and family types over the time. Like Haralambos & holborne, Allan & Crow, Talcott Parsons and many more reknown figures. We being a part of the society can observe different types of family structures present around us but we are sometimes unable to figure out how they are formed and what kind of difficulty they are facing. Even in our normal family structures there are problems then why are some people criticise the other family structure(Allan, 2001, 246).

Over the past fifty years many new structures have become in practice and apart from the old family structures many new theories and practices are adopted by different societies. The few of them are as follows

Extended Family

Families with multiple meanings of absence. First, it is used by family members or relatives of the pronoun. Second, family-dominated society, couples or nuclear families, which is used to designate the family members who may not belong to marriage and family. As usually multigenerational, depending on the circumstances exist. People who live together as a family, and sometimes feel more secure attachment.
