Fallacies in the Media's Spotlight

A fallacy is based on an error in the application of rules of inference, it is not logically correct. But occasionally formally valid conclusions from false premises are called fallacies. A fallacy is a mistake while a reasoning error is known as the logical fallacy. It is a fallacy in which an individual assume a certain position or persuades others to assume the position on the basis of a bad reasoning (Tindale, 2007). There are some of the fallacies that are common as compared to others. Some have been identified and given a name. A logical fallacy refers to a set of well known reasoning errors. There are different types of logical fallacies. Many people use logical fallacies to persuade others to doing things they want them to (Gula, 2002). The logical fallacies are usually adopted by the politicians or advertisements to fool the individuals to believe them. Many politicians have adopted the logical fallacy in their debates, speeches and press conferences to distract the individuals from the main issues or concern.
