Introduction

In 2001, the campaign of Fair-trade town was launched in Garstang, Lancashire, by Bruce Crowther, who was a social worker working with Oxfam (a social organization). He was very successful in promoting the campaign and the goods certified by Fair-trade received increase demand and publicity. There are two certified body of Fair-trade, one is TransFair Canada and Fair-trade Foundation based in United Kingdom. They are responsible for declaring an area where the goods certified by Fair-trade are being promoted.
