Explosion of US Atomic Bomb on Japan
Introduction
In history of the world bomb dropped on Japan at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, is the most controversial discussion. The debate is about whether the decision to bomb Japan was right or wrong and if right what is the justification? These are several questions posed by both the supporters and opposition for bombing. The supporters justify it by giving the reasons why it was necessary to stop the war. But, the opposition claims there is no justification for such a big loss of life and its distress years after. Atomic bomb is not just a weapon that kills of the life, where it is exploded but, it has adverse impacts on the life here after, some scientist say that human being have to bare the destruction for centuries.
The researchers debate that it was to bring the expeditious end and there may be other options available to the US. This bombing raised the issues for American policy makers regarding the use of Atomic weapons consider the long term affects of this powerful technology. The message was clear the American president intended to bring the 2nd World War to an end. This is not enough as the debate goes on and on, but group in opposition is much larger than the group that supports the bombing. The clear opinion to advocate the oppositions' point is that there is no justification for the killing of masses, which are innocent and they are subject to the adverse affects of nuclear weapon for centuries. The reasoning for bombing is not enough to address the later issues.
President Truman's inadequate rationalization
The president Truman gave the introduction to the atomic bomb and its destructive nature. He said that the US Army has successfully discovered a terrible weapon that can cause destruction will be used to bomb Japan. He added it is the most horrible weapon but, it will be proven as the most useful. How can a liberal man justify the killing of more than 150,000 innocent lives using the power of just 1 nuclear bomb? However, before the explosion Truman's argument was supported by a larger group as he claimed the bombing will strictly target the military, whereas the innocent citizens will stay safe from the bombing.
He said that he has conveyed the intensions for bombing on the soldiers and not the children and women, to Mr. Stimson, who was the secretary of war at that time. Truman further clarified the position and reputation of US as the leading unit of the civilized world will never subject the civilians to bombing. Even when the Japanese were merciless, savages, fanatic, and ruthless, USA will not bomb the capital of Japan ...
