According to the review of the poem, “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”, done by, Saunders, it is commonly said to be Frost's masterpiece. As it is his most famous poem, therefore, it is his most frequently taught and anthologized piece of poetry, a "lyric" poem (as some put it) that can be appraised in relation to the formal and metrical characters, rather than in terms of its content or "meaning". The poem represents the love of the poet for the nature in a beautiful manner. His horse becomes a cipher for his conscience. Professional evaluators of the reading material have brought forward the seductive frame of mind or pitch that are the results of the formal characteristics as one of a person caught up in a reverie, the hypnotic quality of the repeated closing lines, in particular, suggests a chant or spell (Saunders). As its deceptive simplicity and its ambiguity, critics are not able to assure an interpretation of the poets writing: one has to avow, that the poem composed to different forms of undertones plus overtones instead of the meaning.
