Experimental Design - Caffeine Reaction Time

Introduction

This study relates to the caffeine reaction time in which experimental research design will be applied to test the phenomenon that is caffeine affects reaction times among participants. The aim of the study is to determine any differences having coffee not provided and then after having one full cup of coffee. With reference to caffeine reaction time, it is important to note that caffeine stimulates the production of adrenaline that which affects the reaction time of individuals.

Research Question

Is there any difference in having no cup of coffee and then after having one full cup of coffee?

Hypothesis

HO 1: There is no significant difference in the reaction time when the full cup coffee was given to the participants and to those whom coffee is not provided.

HA 1: There is a significant difference in the reaction time when the full cup coffee was given to the participants and to those whom coffee is not provided.

Variables

There are no dependent variable and independent variables for this study. In this purpose situation the paired sample t test will be used. For that reason, the variables that are taken in to consideration for this study include “Reaction Time of Individuals With No Coffee” and “Reaction Time of Individuals With One Full Cup of Coffee”.

Method

In order to perform the experiment, the reaction time of participants will be measured. At first, the participants will not be provided with no coffee and then their further reaction time will be measured in order to determine the differences and then the participants will be provided with full cup of coffee and then again reaction time will be measured. Thus, reaction time between the no coffee and the full cup of coffee will be measured. Therefore, after providing with no cup of ...
