The aim of Jewish spirituality is to enlighten us with Torah values in order that with our free will we choose the considered, phrase or deed that is best-fitted to the position to delight the Creator and supply us with religious growth. Choosing certain thing for our religious development over our ego likes and yearns is the first step. To manage so, we have to have the ability to be strongly sensed and intellectually dependable, to be introspective and pledged to emulating the Thirteen Attributes of the Creator and to identify that the feeling of need is what directs us away from our religious goals (remaining attached to the Creator and His Will). When we understand that everything the Creator drives is for our supreme good (and that if it occurs it is His Will and thus for good), we can bypass the rationalizations and torment that often lead us to manage the incorrect thing. But this needs honesty and dedication to truth.
