Summary

For this exercise, I have visited the civil court. There are many things that we can find in courts as compared to any other organization or sector firms. The role of the judiciary is very important. It is an important organ of our country. Courts play an important role in our society; they are the upholders of the justice. People go in the courts to get their disputes resolved. Similarly, people trust the courts and its fair trials. I will share my experience about the court proceedings in this essay. I observed the proceedings of the civil case in a court where I observed an interesting case and listened to the arguments of both the parties and final judgment of the Judge as well.

I reached there at 9:30 am in the morning. Usher told me that there were two major cases whose final decisions were to be taken that day. Since, I was allowed to go in one in the given time; I chose the case of murder.

The Court consisted of 12 jurors. Jurors were chosen at random, they all were British citizens, aged 18 to 70 years. This was done in order to prepare grounds and ensure that the case tends to move without infusing any biasness. It was also done in order to assure transparent trial and that the trial remained free of any conflicts or allegations. Jurors were also chosen at random to maintain the credibility of the jurors and the entire judicial system.

As in any criminal proceedings, the use of the language was very formal. The defendant Mr. Abdul, who was inside the court sitting in the dock, was being defended by barrister V.
