Evidence-Based Practices

[Name of the institute]Abstract

The study is based on evaluating the situational causes of the general behavior of the patients that encourages them not to show up on the day of their appointment with the healthcare service provider. A very major restructuring took place in the usual outpatient and outpatient, we lined up in a three-tier model: the first level, a common community health centers, the second level - it's a diagnostic center, where we are today, and the third, it has a bunch of hospitals, with their counseling centers, in order that they can provide additional advice on admission to hospital man. The issue bears negative impact including underutilization of the resources and expansion of costs budget while decrement in accessibility to care. The multidisciplinary group of personnel conducts immersion-crystallization organizing style and analyzes the data. Immersion is a comprehensive process in which the researchers 'immerse' them in their collected data via reading or examining a few parts in detail. The most popular research approaches used to make informed scientific decisions include qualitative and quantitative methods. The methodology of the research is indeed an imperative part that attempts to collect the needed evidences to establish the assumptions that may appear to be useful in the field. The method comprises of both qualitative as well quantitative methodology. This paper attempts to explore the implications that are perceived through the selected methods of research. Evidence-Based Practices and No-shows of Patients

Introduction

Quality of the healthcare services hold immense significance in improving the entire cycle of the treatment and making the system accessible and effective at the same time. The healthcare sectors keep their attainment targets quite clear while making the road map to achieving it in the most feasible manner. According to Lacy et al. (2004), lessening the occurrences of no show of the patients due to the expected waiting times and delays in the provision of the treatment. The time is one of the factors that are causing accumulation of apprehensions among the patients. There are a few factors that the whole system is exposed to; this counts on the availability of the patients on the appointments. According to Huang & Zuniga (2013), the no show up issue is not a new issue and has a long history, though, has not been addressed well. The issue bears negative impact including underutilization of the resources and expansion of costs budget while decrement in accessibility to care. It has been observed that most of the time, patients set up appointments with consultants but do not show up those results in wasting of the resources.

The created 'gap', then reflects on the proceeding procedures in the healthcare system. This study tends to analyse the cause of those factors that are causing the said gap. The analysis will appear to be depending on the evidence-based research. Evidence-based research is indeed one of the most emerging concepts, especially, in the area of healthcare services. According to Wachter et al. (2004), the approach aims on collecting enough evidences ...
