Introduction

LaborSmart and SafetyBrick are two simulated organizations. LaborSmart is a company which provides man power for the construction companies. It has registered worker of about 1500 workers. LaborSmart is working for 10 years, and it enjoys a good reputation. Companies Human Resource management is responsible for the selection of appropriate and efficient workers. After some basic training about safety measure training and giving an overview of the basic labor laws, they are ready to work for their client. LaborSmart has gotten the contract to outsource 100 workers to SafetyBrick construction. SafetyBrick is a well known for its reputation and earned fame of meeting deadlines and producing quality of work. Therefore, SafetyBrick is very cautious for selection of workers. This is the first time that SafetyBrick is giving contract of hiring workers to LaborSmart. LaborSmart believes that if this contract which is of three months prove fruitful, then this will be going to increase the reputation of laborSmart and if it succeed to win the confidence of SafetyBrick, then this will be going to earn a substantial amount of earning. So this contract is very important for both companies.

Reports of Service Monitoring Issues during Delivery

Diary is a method to record the performance of employees on the field and its assessment is very important for the evaluation of the performance. This method is useful to for the large organizations. But few managers believe that this method is time consuming and very difficult to follow on a daily basis. But it is still useful for the assessment of performance. But structured diary is proved time saving and rate just rate on the structured questions. But raters need a great deal of information to avoid biasness and pay attention to unrecognized information (Denisi & Peters 1996, pp. 717). To ensure proper delivery of services the HR of SmartLabor took on site reports to monitor the performance. It also helps to settle the conflicts between both parties. On site diary suggest that few employees feel unsafe while working. But the management team of SafetyBrick finds this issue as an exaggerating. Few of workers also got sick and had to leave the work immediately. This resulted in the disturbance during work and performance of workers also noted under the mark. Work diary also has shown lack of motivation among some workers and they need to have some training to motivate them. Monetary incentive can be helpful to motivate them.

Dealing with Underperformance and Agreed Variation

Performance is the essential part of job specification, and the targets set by Human Resource Management are the benchmark to assess the performance. In this regard, the measuring performance is prerequisite for this contract. Performance measurement and management are very crucial to control, evaluate, motivate, budget, promote, celebrate, improve and learn (Behn, 2003, pp. 1).
