Evangelism means spreading and imparting values and principles of one belief to others who don't hold that belief. Evangelism and main mediums of communication that are television and radio have strong connection with each other. Evangelists have always used these mediums.

Reach of evangelism accessed mass media when it started merging with politics and embraced idea of patriotism. This pattern arose in 1970's when the founder of Moral Majority asked Paul Weyrich to align politics and patriotism to give a new direction to their movement.
