Introduction

Since the 1990's the senior housing society has moves towards a substantial amount of growth with an increase in the number of care communities and improvements in the provisions of resources for various areas of industry. Elderly people have increase in number which has led to an increase in the demand for housing for them. This has also led to a different school of thought, as initially the only option considered for old people to live was either traditional nursing homes or care communities. This ideology has evolved over time as many senior citizens are the “Aging in place” meaning that they decide to cut down on their home maintenance but not necessarily in size (Kastenberg & Chasin, 2004).

Discussion

Older people requiring special care attitude on that is not so much reduced physical capacity and poor health, but with psychological problems (changing role in society at retirement). Difficulties encountered in vision and hearing, weakened muscles and the circulatory system, organs of equilibrium, etc., dictate the increased demands on the people's physical environment, specialized housing designed to meet them, to protect from undue risk, that would maintaining a sense of dignity and self-respect.

Existing institutions in our country for the care of senior citizens is not inadequate. System of strict control and limit creates lack of concern while working to the loss of psychological comfort of people living in these types of institutions. Private nursing homes generally do not have purpose-built new buildings. Most often, this is partly rebuilt holiday houses, guest houses, hostels, which were originally designed for a temporary stay in them. Most of the buildings of the public sector built over 20 years ago; they are morally and physically obsolete, do not meet current standards and simple principles of humane treatment. Besides, part of the tasks for the design and construction of special housing actually addressed device typical residential projects(Kastenberg & Chasin, 2004).

Question the territorial distribution of housing for the senior citizens is the key, because its decision sets the environmental, social, aesthetic parameters of the future environment. Generalized placement of such housing as part of the urban environment with respect to the conditional boundaries of the city can be divided into two categories: those found in the structure of the city and are located outside.
