Introduction

“Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus” is a science fiction novel written by Mary Shelley. This is the story of a science student, Victor Frankenstein, who created a monster during one of his experiments. This monster turns out to be a trouble for Victor. The monster portrayed as a living being with all the feelings and emotions, and his appearance of monster was a big problem when he felt that people feared him, and they hate him. He did not want to kill people; in fact he tried to save a girl, but due to fear a man tried to kill him as a monster. Victor's brother also tried to scream when he saw him, in his attempt to keep the boy quiet, he strangled the boy. To avoid all these killings, he asked Victor to make him a female so that he can leave this place with his mate and will never come in public. Victor agreed, but when he realized the consequences of this whole breed of monsters, he killed the incomplete female. Monster tried to take revenge and killed Victor's wives. The story was a great success and faced negative criticism in the beginning. Critics consider it as a disgusting horror story, but with its success it received various positive comments.
