The unfortunate rise in popularity of assisted suicide in Europe and the United States becomes increasingly necessary to think deeply about the dignity of the human suffering and the right to life. In this essay, we intend to do a brief review of this topic, so linked to the sense of pain and suffering, and present in their main lines the teachings of the Catholic Church about it.
