Definition of ethnic cleansing

The author has defined genocide as the leading cause for death in 20th and 21st century. Genocide was the cause of taking more lives than in war. He has explained ethnic cleansing as the euphemism in place of genocide without having any legal status. It is a pseudo-medical terminology to justify massacre. The use of the term specifies the product as being dehumanized. Ti brings the view of filth and disease. It spreads the upturned social ethics of perpetrators (Rony, 2008).

The term ethnic cleansing representing genocide is basically used to allow the use of massacre and not to stop the use of genocide. This term undermines the global lawful compulsions to recognize genocide. The term ethnic cleansing undermines public health. It is used to corrupt the decision making, observation, ethical judgement and interpretation. The term should be wiped-out from public use from public health. Ethnic cleansing can bleach the atrocities brought by genocide and can lead in prevention of its current and future use. Ethnic cleansing is a clear policy of a particular group of persons to systematically eliminate a given territory to another group of persons because of their national, ethnic or religious. Such a policy is violent and often linked to military operations. It is considered to be carried out by all possible means, from discrimination to extermination, and entails violations of human rights and international humanitarian law (Rony, 2008).
