This paper aim to describe a personal experience of the writer in which author has either witnessed or experienced to take a moral decision, for instance cheating on an exam, stealing out of necessity, or being forced to give up a personal freedom. The paper will also describe how did the situation has been created and what actions I have taken in relation to the situation. Every situation has both positive and negative consequences, which will also be explained in context of ethical theory.
The Moment Where I had to take a Moral Decision
I have been quite an honest person throughout my life, which is the reason I always try to hold the moral values to the most. However, once in my life I have encountered a situation where I had to let go my principles not for myself but for the sake of others. I saw a road accident in which a person is badly injured, and there is an urgent need to take him to the hospital. If I would have waited for an ambulance to come the person might lose the chances to stay alive. At the very same moment, I saw a young lady stepping out of her car, I quickly rush to her and fooled her just to take her car away. I basically snatch her car in a rush, that she sustained some bruises and rashes. I than with the help of the passerby put the injured person in the car and fled to the hospital. The person was saved and later I returned the car to the owner by explaining her details. She in fact understood and forgives me, but I felt badly that she sustained bruises and rashes because of me.
