This paper discusses in brief the current thinking about importance of ethical applications in criminological research. The paper discusses the ethical issues that are flagged up in several research projects and how policies have been developed to cater to the issues. The exercise of Criminology orders a social and human purpose, promoting respect for life, dignity and freedom of the individual human, may be expressed in goals such as welfare, quality of life , the justice , the equality , the security , the fullness of the development of individuals and groups both individually and socially (Crow, Semmens, 2007, pp. 50-56). The profession is governed by universal principles common to all professional ethics: respect for persons, protection of human rights, sense of responsibility, honesty, sincerity to the clients, prudence in the application and tools and techniques.

Independence

They have to respect the freedom of ideas, including the criteria and religious or moral views, scale of values ??and ideas of the people. In providing its services, they can make no discrimination of persons on grounds of birth, age, race, sex, creed, ideology, nationality, social status or any other difference.
