Introduction

This paper intends to discuss the ethical implications of the case “Operation Delirium.” The case basically refers to the underlying experiments conducted after the risky cold war. There is a variety of experiments that took place during the era between 1956 and 1976. The case 'Operation Delirium' talks about the living scientist with secrets associated with the risky cold war experiments. The case remains important mainly because even after decades; the dark shadows of those experiments can be traced in different forms. The purpose of this paper is to explore various ethical limitations related to the case of 'operation delirium' and to make the readers aware about different ethical limitations.

Discussion

The case basically reveals the life of Colonel James S. Ketchum. Colonel James S. Ketchum is famous mainly because he conducted war without killing. He was one of those soldiers who were not in the favor of killing people through arms and ammunitions; rather he focused over different clinical trials which can result in ultimate disasters without even getting involved in any sort of wars and fights. The case refers to the life of Colonel James S. Ketchum who dreamed of war without killings. He joined Army in 1956 and left in 1976; however, he never got involved in any sort of wars like war of Vietnam or did not try to get involved in the process of invading the Bay of Pigs. The case is meant to discuss the consequences of the scientific experiments made during that era related to the cold war. The secrets were established in order to make sure that the cold war remains silent and the armies achieve their underlying objectives without even getting involved in the fights (www.newyorker.com).
