The topic chosen for this research is the importance of ethical decision making within the IT or networking environment. The significance of ethical decision making within the IT or networking is immense. Personnel are normally faced with such situations in which they have to take honest and integrate decisions in order to show their involvement with the customers and honesty towards the organizations. In my opinion, ethical decision making remains one of the most important aspect people must implement in their daily working life. The significance of ethical decision making is huge in the context of IT and networking arena mainly because of issues like privacy and confidentiality.
Proposal
Introduction
Failing ethical standards in the business have caused serious damage to the economy of the countries. The failures of these ethical standards have been specifically seen in the form of various accounting scandals. These ethical failures have also been seen in the business operation in relation to the consumers and employees right. The fraud committed by big corporate giants cause around $ 600 billion each year. In relation to these ethical issues, shareholders have lost billions of dollars in indirect cost, due to the implementation of corporate governance program for complying with the legislation of the Government (Rochelle, 2010).
Literature Review
A theory about the collective decision making concerning legal rules would be incomplete without the inclusion of the variables of the rhetorical model. In this article it is clarified why we also need the rhetorical model to explain such decision making (Charles, 2009). In addition, the rational and the rhetorical model for analyzing collective decision making are with respect to the object of research, the main assumption, the kind of application and the questions of what is accepted as the proof of truth and how the researcher is positioned towards the object of his research (Charles, 2009).
Research Approach
A structured research methodology is required for this kind of a research topic. A combination of structured interview and focus group can also provide valuable insights on the research topic. To effectively gather preliminary information from staff on their perceptions of the quality of work life in general and of workloads/stress levels specifically, we propose a combination qualitative methodological formats; in depth interviews and focus group sessions.
