It is important to have sufficient amount of refuse collections, as the existing refuse collection program is not enough for the amount of refuse gathering. Because of the limited space and also the extra amount of waste for collections, several bags of trash are missed on the ground in the area.
Discussion
It is observed that the majority of the European families, who get used to have an average of two children per household and recycling, generally have a smaller amount waste as compared to the normal American families. The common family that lives in this area has on average three children and is not acclimatize to recycling plan (Richard, 2002). In addition to this, having this type of family structure and being used to the American way of life, there is too much of waste in the area (Cabaniss, 2008). The basis of this statement is that if people miss a day to trash because of busy working timetable then there is too much accumulation of waste; thus, people have to wait about a month before people dispose of their refuse.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be said that there are some solutions which can facilitate in fixing up the issues discussed above. In this context, the sanitation department can provide each resident with the containers having large volume with the intention that people can accumulate more waste, if they miss to trash. In addition to this, in order to resolve the concern from top to bottom, it is important and essential that sanitation department can install dumpsters in all the areas as the dumpsters are made available for armed forces.
Moreover, the recyclable items should be collected twice a month and the trash collecting can be increased that is at least once a week. Furthermore, it can be said that the time to act on this issue is now as this problem with inadequate space to hold the trash and extra trash in the area are the basis of various risks and also the reasons a health hazard within the area.
