The Declaration of Independence

The Declaration of Independence, created and signed in the year 1776 on the fourth of July, remains the most important event in the history of the United States of America. Many times during history, it has been observed that people break free from the political bands that tie them and realize that they need to be heard and understood. When such a time comes, the people get together under one united banner to speak for their freedom and their rights. The United States of America faced such a time too and this was when the declaration of independence was formed and passed, under which the people of the US demanded to be free, especially from the monarchal rule of the British. It was an act to achieve decent respect regardless of cast, color or creed and to be recognized as a united nation of the world.

The declaration stated that the people considered certain truths to be entirely self evident, and such truths included the fact that every man on earth is equal and has been created so. Every man on earth is endowed and granted with certain rights by God and these are equal and prominent for all. The right of life, happiness as well as liberty is equal for all people in the world and the same apply to the people of the United States. The declaration stated that a government is nothing more than a group of men who have been given the right to safeguard the rights of the nation but in a case where the rights of the people are threatened or not properly safeguarded, the same people can take away the power of a government and form a new one.

Prudence was one of the main reasons why the declaration was called for. It was one of the reasons why the people decided to stand up and speak for themselves. The British monarchy and other ruling bodies of the USA had left their impact on the nation and the residents and it was time for them to speak up and claim their rights back. The people wished to step out of the darkness, claim what was rightfully theirs and start living a life which was free from discrimination and monarchy.
