He is the painter of genre scenes and indigenous issues, he is a disciple of Velasco, and texture in paint is faded and illuminated. His best known painting of the wake is the scene in which a typical family candle to her late, but here that is not a family like Estrada in which the family property, but it is a wake a poor family is warm and melancholic. For my taste of this work, it is very touching and gives a sad scene though certain quality that is typical here in Mexico where death is not an end but a single step of evolution.
