Kate and Max were deeply in love with each other when they first met at museum. Unlike traditional marriages of U.S. society, they took four years, a long time, to understand each other and decided to marry when Kate converted to Judaism. Apart from this, they both decided to marry when they were in their late thirties (Thernstrom, 2003). Usually, couples get married at the age of early twenties or late twenties (Wallace, 2004). But in Kate and Max's case, their desperation and joy seemed to be dull at this age of time.
