Executive Summary

This paper has been written to meet the requirements of Assignment 2 for MGT8021 at the University of Southern Queensland. In order to meet the requirements that paper discusses the template to implement the MS Dynamic AX ERP package in an organization. The paper after thorough analysis have found that ERP can be implemented in Chile, but several recommendations had to be followed which are presented in the paper. The paper describes the ERP feasibility by analyzing it LCC; where the principal focus was to determine the impact of ERP Dynamics AX software in different scenarios. The economic issues analyze the features of Dynamics AX as ERP software to improve profits to company. The physical issue talks about the user interaction and maintenance. The usability issue analyzes the adaptability of the system by the re-use of procedures and resources projected to different environments. The ecological issue takes in consideration the advantages of sustainable hardware and reduction of resources in a sustainable way.

Introduction

Companies have to unmistakably know what enterprise resource is planning before thinking of implementing them. The catch word of ERP implementation is speed. The quicker it is realized the quicker and better are the advantages and delivery in terms of results. This in the early hour's procedure has one more grasp. The returns are sought at a shorter period. This deviation from the conventional practice has become the order of the day as far as many companies are concerned. Previously Business process reengineering played an essential role with respect to implementation. It is significant to distinguish the components of Enterprise resource planning. Merely defining enterprise resource planning will not help in this.

This obviously cemented way to progress of gaps between the definite results and the one derived during the process of foreseeing. Tuning MS Dynamic AX as per the whims and fancies of the practices followed in the company became an everyday affair. This led to slogging and dragging beyond the time limits permitted. It was financially pinching and played confusion in the customer's confidence (Aladwani, 2001). It is also essential to know that sheer ERP planning does not promise the profit of MS Dynamic AX. It has to be implemented as planned after understanding the components of enterprise resource planning. In spite of having improved the implementation issues what remains still and unfettered is the way in which companies go ahead with ERP implementation. Companies do it for certain reasons often without following systematic procedures. In companies do not even test the desirability of going into MS Dynamic AX.
