Introduction

Globalization is a process of economic, technological, social and societal scale, which consists of increasing communication and interdependence among countries of the world by unifying its markets, societies and cultures, through a series of social, economic and political that give a character overall. USA is the superpower of the world. It is one of the most advanced countries of the world, in terms of trade, production, currency and economics. As globalization depends on technological advances in connectivity human (transport and telecommunications) facilitating the free movement of people and the spread of ICT and the Internet.

Meanwhile in the policy governments are losing powers to what has been called network society, activism increasingly revolves around social networks, has extended the transition to democracy against despotic regimes, and public policy stand efforts for the transition to capitalism, in some of the old command economies and the transition from feudalism to capitalism in underdeveloped, in some countries but with varying degrees of success (Anderson and Cavanagh, 2000).

Background

The history of the population of the United States is inseparable from that of immigration. The real minorities are the indigenous and people whose territories were acquired or annexed, such as Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, California, etc. Since the arrival of European settlers in the sixteenth century, more than 50 million immigrants settled in the United States. Until 1940, the vast majority of immigrants came from Europe. From the 1920s, the United States, eager to curb immigration, established a quota system. The economic crisis of the 1930s only reinforced this trend. A new form of immigration developed after World War II (Ronaldo, 2005).

The United States is peopled by groups that arrived in search of economic opportunity or political refuge, as well as by populations who were conquered, enslaved, or subordinated. To understand the social position and characteristics of today's minority elders, one must appreciate the lifelong processes and historical experiences that have brought them to their current stage of life. Multiculturalism is a policy aimed at developing and maintaining a separate country and the world at large cultural differences, and justifying such a policy theory or ideology. An important distinction of political liberalism is the recognition of multiculturalism for the collective rights of the subjects: the ethnic and cultural groups.

Impact on Organizations and Economy of Globalization

Today, US benefit from policies that rather encourage legal residents to put down permanent roots in the community, become enterprising citizens, and fight discrimination. Organizations play a important to tackle discrimination against the migrant workers and ethnic minorities, not only within its own structures, but also outside the organization, providing services and interacting with migrant communities and ethnic minorities (Ringrose, 2001).

Approaches to gender equality tend to focus on overcoming any disadvantages that groups of individuals may experience in the workplace and which may be due an old discrimination, current discrimination or stereotypes made and social discrimination.
