Summary In this modern world, human behavior has effected the environment on a large scale. Living styles, latest technologies and latest techniques have contributed a lot toward the environmental problems. Agriculture, Energy projects, Mining, Transport and war are the few main factors that have caused great environmental problems. Agriculture is a process of growing crops in a land for food purposes. But clearing away forest and use of pesticides on a large scale have contributed to environmental problems. Crop rotation technique is a method which can help lower the environmental problems. Energy projects are another factor which has greatly effected the environment. Burning of fossil fuels can release toxic gases into the atmosphere which is contributing towards atmosphere pollution. Turning on wind turbines and solar cells to generate power can be a suitable solution towards this problem. Transport is also effecting the environment on a large scale. It also requires burning of fossil fuels to generate power for the engine and hence releases toxic gases in the environment which causes breathing problems as well as acid rain. Mining is extraction of valuable metals and minerals from land. But it may require a large area of forest to be cleared. Process of coal mining also releases dust particles into the air causing environmental problems. Waste discharge from mining should be properly treated before disposing it off to ensure the environmental safety. Warfare is another main contributor as modern weapons may release radioactive elements into atmosphere. Hence these activities need to be avoided and permanent ban should be imposed on these modern weapons throughout the world as apart of killing, they affect both the land and atmosphere.

Recommendations

In order to reduce the impact of the environment issues public transport, organic farming, good mining methods, and a peaceful environment should be promoted.

Introduction Human behavior effect on environment refers to the human activities that are causing both negative as well as a positive effect on our environment.

Purpose of the report

Our main focus will be the negative impacts and necessary steps that can be taken to ensure the protection of the environment. Nowadays majority of the environmental issues are caused by human activities that are causing land, air and water pollution. The World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) has clearly indicated in the report that people all around the world needs to change their lifestyles otherwise the world can face severe level of environmental issues.

Scope of the report

Basically these environmental problems are caused by the number of Human activities such as agriculture, energy projects, transport, mining and war. These factors are the prime reason that releases the toxic gases in our environment that causes Acid Rain, damaging the marine life and depleting the Ozone Layer.
