Laws prohibiting fox hunt and laws regarding treatment of and licensed ownership of pets and animals

The law that prohibit the hunting of foxes is there to prevent the unlawful and unjust hunting of the foxes. Man (civilized or uncivilized) has a tendency to revert to his violent nature, and as a result, hunting and killing of animals (usually rare in nature or difficult to kill) has emerged as a sport since times past. The laws aim to protect the foxes from unlawful mass killings just for the sake of humans enjoying recreational activities.

Laws for the licensed ownership and treatment of animals and pets are there to make sure that an animal receives the appropriate and adequate treatment when under the care of humans (as Pets or licensed animals). The law is needed to ensure that the owner (or caretaker) is legally responsible for the provision proper diet, environment and activity for the animal. It also prevents the animals from harm that the humans might intentionally (or even unintentionally) cause (to them). For example, tail docking in dogs (which is a common activity around the world) is banned in England if it is to be done for cosmetic purposes; however, if the nature of work for working dogs causes problems for dogs with tails then it is permissible but only through a qualified vet.

The pets used in fox hunting are known as foxhounds, these dogs are bred specifically for the purpose of hunting down foxes. These animals are also protected by the treatment and licensed ownership laws and are entitled to proper diet, environment and treatment. Over the years, hunting laws protecting wildlife animals has given rise to adoption of wild animals as pets, for example rabbits, the licensed ownership laws provide check and balance over the protection and adequacy of animals as pets.

Laws regulating the sale of alcohol and tobacco and the laws prohibiting the sale and possession of other drugs

The laws regulating the sale of alcohol and tobacco are primarily introduced to avoid the general population from inflicting harm (upon themselves or others) due to substance abuse. People usually drink and consume tobacco products even as minors either because they want to fit in the society of adults or they are influenced by someone into consuming these products. This means they below the age of 18 and yet they consume these demerit utilities. The law on sale is there to ensure that no minor from the population becomes addicted to these products due to any reason.

The laws prohibiting the sale and possession of other drugs are there to prevent the entire population from consuming extremely harmful products which comprise of cocaine, heroin and so on. In comparison to alcohol and tobacco, these drugs have a tendency to immediately cause addiction in the consumer and cause deterioration in his/her health, therefore, it is very important to make sure that these drugs are kept away ...
