The focus of this paper is on the manufacturing of solar absorption refrigeration. The focus is kept on the BRUSH Company and the aim is to determine the most feasible system design, implementation and risk that the company will have to consider manufacturing this system.

Brush Corporation prefers mass production as a choice of process and consumption of resources.

Role of Inventory in the Process Configuration

The inventory role is one of the most important considerations for the company. The company views the incoming data to ensure the comparability of the various data sources. The source interrelations are predefined to a greater extent.

Infrastructure

Function Support

With respect to the manufacturing of new system, the function support can change as the need arises. It would be more appropriate to assign a separate facility for the project to ensure a smooth functioning of product manufacturing.

Manufacturing Planning and Control Systems

The company undertakes a comprehensive planning and optimization process for the manufacturing of a new product. There is a thorough formation of gantt charts and the automatic balancing power in the company.

Quality Assurance and Control

The quality assurance is undertaken through six sigma which is an efficient method of ensuring an effective process flow.

This system works in collaboration with the other departments to make sure coordination exists and to ensure that installation and monitoring of the system affecting the manufacturing cycle of product.

Salary/Wage Agreements

The salary negotiations are made based the wage agreements and on the experience and qualification of the employee.

Work Structuring

The work structuring comprises of the autonomous work groups, job rotations and quality circles.

At BRUSH there is a certain set of hierarchies and responsibilities assigned to members of the same components. Consequently, one can establish that the organizational structure of a company is the scheme of hierarchy and division of labor components thereof. It is a fact that every organization has a structure, which can be formal or informal. The formal structure is explicitly and officially recognized by the company (Thompson, Strickland, 1995,25-33). The informal structure is the result of the philosophy of driving and the relative power of individuals in the organization, not because of its location on the formal structure, but in terms of influence over other members.
