Why Study Engineering?

Why Study Engineering?

Introduction

Physics and Math have enthralled me since I was in an early age. I identified that my greatest interests and abilities lay in the science based subjects. Eventhough, I always accepted all the challenges that were given to me in the school work, I always wanted to expand my understanding of these subjects areas related to applying the theoretical concepts that we have learnt in our school to the world which exist outside theory, i.e. reality.

This aspiration of learning as to how theoretical concepts can be applied to real world scenarios enabled me to enjoy the modules of math which I had in my A-levels, which also made me realize that, according to my subject if interest engineering would be the best option for me to study as my major. As math and physics provides a person the skills which are required in order to reassure the soundness of technology and innovation, engineering seek out to apply these skills with a longing to provide such products to customers which satisfy the safety, efficiency and cost needs of the customers. Thus, the skills, which I have learnt through economic, which I studied in A-level, would be highly beneficial for me in my engineering career.

Discussion

Now, what led me to study engineering as major is discussed in the forth-coming part of the paper.

Last year in June, I got a chance to spend a week on an initial course of engineering at a local university. The experience which I got in 4 days there, which not only entailed learning of theory but also practical application. In-depth readings of a number of engineering fields along with the theory and practical reinforced my strong desire for studying engineering.

As I am a sports person, the prospects of using engineering in the world of ...
