Philippe Petit carried out one of the most surprising act of above ground tricks in the late 20th century: he strung a thin wire in linking the two towers of the World Trade Center and not just walked crossways, from one building to a further, but carried a terrifying progression of knee-bends and energetic and athletic actions on the wire, some 1,350 feet on top of the ground, before rotating himself in. As a documentary, nevertheless, the ability that moved into "Man on Wire" is completely terrific and exceptional.
