Introduction

The term 'Hospitality' is defined as the act of providing service to others, in addition to the demonstration of unswerving quality and excellence. This even refers and means to earn profit by offering value at all price levels, whilst depicting ones personal unique distinction points. In particular, hospitality has to be a 'place' within which individuals could still be exceptional people and they could broaden their own style and personality (Hogan, 2008).

The industry of hospitality is an enormous group of organization referred to as the tourism and travel industry that offers the desirable or necessary services and goods to travellers and different customers and consumers. The tourism and hospitality industry are the fastest-growing and largest industries of the globe (Walker, 1996).

The tourism and travel industry is made up of 5 components:

The activities (sports events, festivals, business, educational trips, recreation);

Retail stores (crafts/arts shops, gifts, souvenirs);

Beverage and food operations (catering, taverns, bars, restaurants);

The transportation services (trains, buses, airplanes, ships), and

The tourism lodgings (cruise ships, camps, resorts, motels, hotels) (Kasavana & Brooks, 2007).

The concept of green accommodation is one of the most significant factors, which could influence travellers/visitors/customers in their travel destination selection. This paper critically assessed empowerment influence on the development of resort and spa business. This is becuase empowerment is the most in style conception amongst contemporary applications of organizations and management that enhances the employees' decisional authorities and props up their personal development. The company this is selected is the Six Senses Resorts & Spas that would be assessed to meet the objectives of this assignment. This study focuses on the management of a green resort spa that received a Global Benchmarking and Certification (i.e. the Green Globe 21).

Discussion

Within hospitality, the novel philosophy is that associates of companies are being counseled by their managers, provided with resources and assistance for thinking for themselves and the company in order to 'Do whatever it takes' as it is vital for the success of the company.

To be successful within the service operations of the hospitality, amongst others, a company needs to concentrate on their clients, stress high touch rather than merely tight tech and motivate innovation and diversity, in addition to different changes (Walker, 1996).

Importance and effect of employee empowerment:
