Integrating Leadership Skills

Summary of the Intervention and Study Findings

The articles state that holistic mental health intervention provides the occupational therapist or experienced pioneer in the field of mental health, a vision of new and updated approach to the data and the initiative. This approach emphasizes the relationship between environment, performance and personal factors. A holistic anger management intervention also has a management element that supports the purpose and direction with students particularly, when a magnetic perception is utilized by the youth. However, the conventional layout of anger management in school groups ignores this conception of SCT (social cognitive theory). Therefore, there seems to be a gap amongst what schools should do to address aggression in youth and what they are presently doing (Burt, 2013).

Additionally, it is figured out that Leadership Implementation Training results in better social relationships and less anger in anger management groups. As a result, this study tends to support the importance of understanding regarding how behavioral interaction, environment and personal factors allow youth to have been in charge of their life (Burt, 2010).

Summary of the Merits and Limitations of the Study

The study has put emphasis on Leadership Implementation Training model in order to build pro-social skills and abilities in student groups. This model also incorporates suggestions to develop into a leadership development or anger management group which will help to increase self-efficiency and reduce aggressive behaviors amongst youth (Burt, 2010). Leadership Implementation Training helps the individuals in learning leadership skills and abilities. If these abilities are applied by youth in class, they might certainly affect the impersonations created by peers and teachers who might come to perceive them in a different way. Secondly, learning leadership skills and abilities will not only reduce their aggression but also increases their positive societal connections with others for instance their teachers and peers etc. (Faupel, 2010)

The small sample size taken for the study is one limitation that has constrained the extrapolation of results. The reason is supposedly a multifaceted populace to sample because of the accessibility and other challenge distinctive to schools. The next limitation of the study is the need for an evaluation with stronger psychometric ideologies that are an exploring variable of leadership and anger. Though, there are few tools that compute both simultaneously (Faupel, 2010). Despite of limitations, the results have merit in directing a way for useful interventions and as a representation for potential research. Regardless of prospective limitations, the social factors in Leadership Implementation Training have demonstrated that group members became their respective change agents through full support. This implies that they observed peers, the environmental factors by interacting and seeing them in a different way. This affirmative change in their environment can support better behavioral self-effectiveness (Burt, 2013).
