THIS RESEARCH PAPER COMPRISES OF LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLE THAT MUST BE ADOPTED DURING THE EMERGENCY SITUATION. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS RESEARCH PAPER IS THE OFFERS A STRUCTURE FOR THE LAWS AND PRACTICE OF LEADERSHIP IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE IN FLOODS. HAZARDS REPRESENT THREATS OF POTENTIAL DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION TO INDIVIDUALS AND SOCIETY. THE ACTUAL HAZARD EVENT, SUCH AS A FLOOD MAY RESULT IN A DISASTER IF THE INCIDENT RESULTS IN SUBSTANTIAL HUMAN DISRUPTION, WHETHER MEASURED BY PROPERTY DAMAGE, INJURY, OR LOSS OF LIFE. HENCE, LEADERSHIP ROLE IN SUCH SITUATIONS IS MUCH IMPORTANT FOR THE EFFECTIVE RESULTS.

Emergency Response in Floods and leadership

Introduction

In the hazard situations workers find themselves in situation where they need guidance and direction to maintain and handle the critical situation. Therefore, leaders in emergency management not only lead in operation but also maintained entire phases of prevention, response, preparedness and recovery. Regardless of small or large team, regardless of tasks and services, the failure and success of the team is predominately determined by the action of the leaders and their examples. Obviously leaders need to recognize a lot and significantly they must be capable to enforce that knowledge.

Effective leadership refers to constantly having the best from the team. In order to accomplish this refers to the personal setting of an example, that is be a part and foremost the team and share the experiences of team. There are varieties of features; factors and condition that has deter mine the leadership and its application. This research paper comprises of leadership principle that must be adopted during the emergency situation. Emergency Response Unit

The Emergency Response Unit (Emergency Response Unit) usually called ERUs are standard units, composed of highly qualified and trained and equipped with the necessary equipment, ready to be used in a short time following a disaster.

ERUs may be called upon to intervene in an emergency situation, when the National Society of Red Cross or Red Crescent or the delegation of the International Federation, are unable to respond independently to the disaster. ERUs can provide specific support or direct services when local resources have been destroyed, are insufficient or do not exist at all. There are different types of ERUs, used as needed: logistics, first aid, IT and telecommunications, water treatment and hygiene, field hospital, health care and base camp.

The ERUs are one of the emergency responses of the International Federation, and are financed and operated by some National Societies of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
