Elderly parents at Home - A conviction to Love or Burden

Introduction

The topic I choose to work upon may be something, which is highly, common; rather people tend to forgo this opportunity to payback and return some love. However, things may differ in the real world, and there is a fair chance that when yourself will grow older than you regret to the fact what you did when you were young and following your career and fulfilling your dreams.

If I am not mistaken, our moms and dads use to care a lot for us during our childhood. However, when we grow up it is our turn to return some love and care that they deserve. A child may not be willing to see his parents fall into illness and traumatic experience. But here arises a question; Are we too sensitive and love our parents so much that we cannot see them in illness or we dislike their presence as it hampers our independence or we are just ignorant towards understanding the worth of our parents.

It may be hurting for parents who gave a substantial amount of input to grow us from an infant to an independent young person. Do we even care about it? What do they get in return a phone call once in a while, that also on a birthday or other day? Sometimes, elderly parents do not even receive calls on the memorable moments. “What creates such circumstances that young adults overlook an important obligation? Hence, their care for parents is not as appropriate as it should be?”
