Introduction

Elder abuse could be defined as a condition in which an elderly individual s not provided with the appropriate and required attention, thus causing harm and distress to the same individual. It is eminent to mention here that elder abuse generally occurs within relationships that are expected to have trust and caring, and thus results in a situation where the elderly individuals is not provided with the appropriate and required care and attention.
