Introduction

In today's world, the importance of internet and ecommerce has grown immensely, due to the rising needs and demands of the internet and ecommerce users. The particular boom in the extensive domain of Ecommerce and Internet is mainly because of the reason that the domain is continuously providing new opportunities to the users. Most importantly, laws and regulations are actively protecting the rigorous measures and transactions of Ecommerce. The purpose of such E-laws is to provide stability and enhancement to the young structure and organism of Ecommerce. Moreover, the all-embracing access to the internet and ecommerce has changed the life style of the users.

The paper will discuss and analyze various aspects of the increasing use of websites for the purpose of Ecommerce in a particular industry. The chosen industry for the rationale of analyzing the website usage will be conducted on the 'Airline Industry', which will be studied through understanding and discussing some empirical literature in this regard. The specific portion will cover the role of websites for Ecommerce in the Airline Industry. Moreover, the paper will also concentrate on the range of services provided in web sites, which will be followed by comparing the features of the best and the worst websites supporting the Ecommerce and linking the gap between users/consumers and the companies. In addition, the paper will also introduce the type of companies that have no or minimum web presence in conducting their operations electronically (Cappel, 2007, pp. 117).

The process of globalization related to economic activities done online has grown to an extent, which is impossible to limit. The relationship between the mounting figures of internet users and the growing economic activities due to the emerging concept of globalization has led transnational firms to build and develop their corporate web sites according to the emerging needs of the consumers. The purpose of building and developing such integrated corporate web sites is to narrow down the distance between the consumers through providing them with close and direct communication through providing the consumers with extensive options on the web sites, which are just one click away (Cappel, 2007, pp. 117). The uses of web sites are not only limited to the communicative part between the organizations and the customers. The major purpose of constructing such expensive and fancy websites and paying high prices for marketing and advertising of such corporate web sites is to provide the consumers with easy access of making wide transactions through the websites on just a few clicks sitting at different parts of the world.

The use of web sites is becoming so common is due to the fact that it provides consumers with far-reaching opportunities, which the consumers did not have in the past.
