Effects of Global Warming

Introduction

Global Warming refer to the term used for the heating of the earth because of an atmospheric blanket of greenhouse gases (GHGs). There is term which is also typically evokes the effects on the whole climate of human activities, particularly the flaming of fossil fuels, oil, gas, coal, and deforestation in a large scale. These terms are commonly confused with climate change which is a more descriptive term. The greenhouse gases primarily carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorofluorocarbons are reason that serve to trap reradiated solar energy from escaping into space. The greenhouse gases are responsible for providing earth a temperature, stable, and life sustaining climate. Global warming is basically defined for the reason of increase temperature in all over the world which caused in part by the greenhouse effect and reduction of the ozone layer. Global warming will probably be slow and at the same time the world will determine time to discover the solutions to it. In common parlance, global warming regularly uses interchangeably with climate change (Houghton, p. 27-58). The current cause of climate change is that it has had the equivalent of a 1 watt light bulb burning over every square meter of the earth (Melillo 1999). Global warming is often considered as the most significant environmental difficulty the world faces and one of the major challenges for global governance and management.

The world has been warming due to global warming and the greenhouse effect, and the temperature is expected to climb even higher. Globally, temperature has gone up 1C (1.8F) over the past century, but most of the coldest, highest, or remote spots, like Alaska and Antarctica, have warmed up to 3.5F in the past 45 years.
