Since a long time I have been hearing the popular phrase, “Leaders are born, not made;” however, I never considered going for in-depth analysis, until now. The phrase is debatable, having a vast number of literatures available, supporting both views. There may be contrasting phenomenon of leadership as a personal journey, or leadership qualities as a process for the change. In my experience, I found leadership to be overlapping of both (Olson, 2009, pp. 27-30).
