The authors in this study have tried to investigate difference in job satisfaction level of academicians of Turkish based on age. The results of the study suggest a correlation among age and job satisfaction. The correlation is linear, as well as, positive. Moreover, they found that the impact of rank is not so strong on job satisfaction. The research recommends that women are somewhat more contented rather than men, in their professional careers. I choose this reference because this study particularly focused on the job of academicians (university teachers). It provides all the results and findings related to single profession.

Berna, D., Snyder, D., McDaniel, M., (1998). The age and job satisfaction relationship: does its shape and strength still evade us? The journals of Gerontology, (53B) 5, 287-293. Doi: 10.1093/geronb/ Retrieved from: http://psychsocgerontology.oxfordjournals.org/content/53B/5/P287.abstract

The authors in the aforementioned study argued that several contradicting relationships between job satisfaction and age have ignored the exact nature of the correlation between these two variables. This study employed a huge number of nationalized probability sample of employees that included 1,095 workers to analyze the potency and shape of age's affect on job satisfaction. The study showed considerable, however, weak influence of age on job satisfaction. The affect was linear and positive, as well. The relationship was weak because age ignored the considerable percentage of linear variation in the measure of job satisfaction. This notifies that age is not feasible interpreter of job satisfaction. I choose this refrences because it focuses on an association between age and job jatisfaction and its shape and strength on employees.

Besen, E., Matz-Costa, C., Brown, M., Smyer, M. A., & Pitt-Catsouphes, M. (2013). Job characteristics, core self-evaluations, and job satisfaction: what's Age got to do with it? International Journal Of Aging & Human Development, 76(4), 269-295. Retrieved from: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23855183

In this study the authors have evaluated job satisfaction among workers of different age. They from their analysis found affirmative correlation between autonomy, job satisfaction, significance of task, skill variety, feedback, and identity of task, but, no considerable influence of age on job satisfaction was found. I choose this reference because it reveals the relationship between different elements relevant to job and age of workers.
