From the conducted research, it is concluded that the main aim of the educational student support service was to foster youth. The Educational Support program provides the youth attending the service, the opportunity to be accompanied in the educational process taking place in school where he is enrolled, through an individualized program, which respects their educational needs and health condition allowing the appropriation of their strengths, know your limitations and work on them, for optimal development of their capabilities. The Educational Support program takes into account the educational policies of the Ministry of Education and the current legislation regarding the rights of children. To better serve educational assessment is performed upon request of the regular classroom teacher or support services, services of the Social Security Fund (EBAIS, National Children's Hospital and Clinics Peripheral) (Center for the Future of Teaching, 2010).
Aims of the Study
The main aims of this study were to identify that what grades were attended by the foster youth, and what were the main factors that contributed towards the educational achievement for foster youth. For the educational intervention with this population using different methodologies, including play therapy to relieve stress caused by hospitalization, likewise addressing the academic curriculum areas, taking into account the health status and educational level of the child. Importantly, the materials at work are selected exclusively for this purpose. It also provides guidance to the parent or guardian of the rights the child has during their hospital stay and their return to the education system provided for in Act 7600 (Burley, 2001).
Data Collection Instrument
In order to conduct research on the educational success in foster youth, both primary and secondary data collection methods have been used. This study has utilized various methods in the collection of qualitative data including observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The use of multiple data collection techniques is important because it not only provides a means of triangulating the results, but it also increases the representative of the informants' perspective (Dunham, 2009, p. 56). The use of mixed methods has also helped to provide a thicker description of motivation and retention added depth to the research study. The data will be collected via secondary data sources. Survey method, interview techniques, and observation have been used for extracting out the relevant data.
