Motivational Plan for a School

Introduction

For the success of any kind of organization, motivation and morale are two most important corner stone's. They are most essential components of making the essential work environment. As per the simple definition of each, motivation is the inspiration to do something based on the instinct desires of the person. These desires can be psychological, social or emotional. Morale, on the other hand, is the confidence and optimism that a person has (Ponticell, 2011).

In relation to organization morale is the level of satisfaction of employees related to their work. It is the attitude of seeing their work, environment and the colleagues. It also indicates the level of happiness among the people.

This research analysis is based on the identification of the current methods of motivation used at the middle school level in the New Age School for Special Children. This research will indicate the well established methods of motivation for both teachers and students.

Research Design

The new age school for special children is a big school with different groups and section. I am a voluntary teacher at New Age School for Special Children. The school has a designed curriculum which states the identification of a child SEN to its proper implementation. Within my setting, I have seen many children from diverse background being educated in the school.

For this research, I interview 10 teachers of New Age School of SEN Children. The project focus was on the teachers view and the methods they use to motivate children. Further. I conducted an interview with management of the school determined what type of motivational methods they used for teachers and at what level.

The series of questions and observation was prepared, and the derivations were based on the student self-concept, classroom strategies, and student-teacher relationships.

Introduction to School (New Age School for Special Children)

The Institute for development of child with special needs started its operation in 1960 with one building under the supervision of 6 instructors and 18 students. Currently, the institute has grown 5000% the capacity and has 4 other schools under its banners which are segmented, differently based on the disabilities a person is having.

This school comes under a proper organization which is referred as an Institute for development of child with special needs. The school is divided into three segments.

New Age School for Children (SEN) - Physical Disability

Medieval School for Children (SEN) - Psychological Disability

Traditional School Children (SEN) - IDN (Integrated Diversity Needs)

All the three schools have different curriculum based on the need of students. The students who are admitted at Traditional School Children (SEN) - IDN (Integrated Diversity Needs) have to go through proper testing and identification process.

Research Findings

The findings of the research stated that teachers have been using development of student motivation through external rewards like giving golden or silver star on the books or candies for outshine their expectations.
