What are the Merits of having Values in Education and Teaching?
Introduction
The rise in globalization and international has led to the development of fierce competition between economies. Economies that are more effieicnt hold competitive edge over other countries; however, specialization assists economies to gain competitive advantage mose easily compared to those that focus on the production of several goods and services. It is not necessary for an economy to be specialized in a single business as specialization can be in several fields. This means that countries that have a variety of businesses can also have a competitive advantage if it specializes in those businesses. In order to gain competitive advantage, education and training plays the most important role in every economy. The quality of education and the number of educated people determine the extent of competitive advantage the economy has over other nations. This shows that education has tremendous values in the economy of nations (Skelton, 2003, 21-23).

The main aim of training is to make individuals competitive enough so that they may work with in cooperation with others in order to develop the economy.

However, things have changed with the introduction of technology. Currently, technology is replacing humans in the manufacturing of goods due to which the demand for skilled labor is being replaced by an increasing demand for trained and educated employees (Eliot, 2009, 45-98).
